Three winning teams from the final “Guide to Khmer Entrepreneurship” competition, organized as part of the food processing course at the National University of Battambang, were welcomed to Confirel on 2 June. The students were accompanied by their professor and a representative of the Korean association KOICA, partner and sponsor of the project.

The aim of this educational visit was to discover Confirel’s products and explore the marketing opportunities offered by the Cambodian agrifood market. San Mono, Confirel’s Sales Director, reminded the students that winning over a market starts with producing high‑quality products, gaining a good understanding of potential sales areas and clearly identifying target customers.

The three teams are working on innovative projects: “Baby Kakor”, an instant version of a traditional vegetable soup, ready to eat by simply adding hot water; a cocoa value chain enabling the production of powder, butter and body oil; and a healthy corn‑based drink. The project leaders expressed their determination to add value to local raw materials in order to improve the living standards of rural farmers.
